Privacy Policy
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account info: name, email, phone number, profile photo. Identity verification: Emirates ID (photo, stored securely). Booking data: items rented, dates, amounts, locations. Communications: messages between users on the platform. Device data: browser type, IP address, device identifiers. Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries. Payment data: when platform card payments launch, processed by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers. Today, payments may be arranged via Ziina or cash on handover.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To provide and operate the marketplace. To verify your identity (Emirates ID). To process bookings and facilitate communication between users. To send notifications about bookings, messages, and account activity. To improve the platform and develop new features. To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and protect users. To send marketing communications (only with your consent).
3. INFORMATION SHARING
With other users: your public profile, listings, and reviews are visible. With lenders/renters: booking details and contact info shared after booking. With payment processors: when enabled, our payment provider processes payments on our behalf (Ziina links today; Stripe when licensed). With insurance providers: booking and identity data shared for claims when insurance is active. With law enforcement: if required by UAE law or to prevent harm. We NEVER sell your personal data to third parties.
4. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Data stored on servers provided by Supabase (cloud infrastructure). Emirates ID images encrypted at rest. Access to personal data restricted to authorized team members. We retain data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts: personal data removed within 30 days, anonymized booking records retained for legal/financial compliance.
5. YOUR RIGHTS (UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021)

flppit is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
